2017 Review and Goals for 2018

We started 2017 off with a bang

Our big boy turned 4, a few weeks later I gave birth to our second son!

The next few months we struggled with breastfeeding issues, me going back to work, and brother adjusting to having a baby in the house.
We had a quick day trip to Bearizona this Summer, and will definitely be going back again.

Jaxon started a new gifted Pre-Kindergarten at the end of Summer, which has been the greatest thing for him. He finally found a school where he fit in.
This Fall I decided to start blogging more, and was able to monetize it. Turns out I have a knack for blogging and I love it.
We also have been dealing with some not so fun things. Like all of Huxley’s allergy testing and hives.
Lastly, I left my gymnastics teaching job after FOUR YEARS! It’s only been a few weeks and hasn’t hit me yet. I’m sure i’ll start missing it eventually. I’m happy to be focusing on blogging and my main job with autism kids.

2018 Goals

Let’s start with my personal life goals. I definitely will be striving to work out on marriage and relationship my husband. To be honest, i’s hard for me to put us first and the children second. Because someday the kids will be out of the house and it will be just us. This means I  need to learn to be patient with him, just as i’ve been learning to be patient with our kids.
I need patience and to set daily goals, probably meditate more, and drink more tea.
Considering I probably won’t be breastfeeding much longer, I’m hoping to eat healthily and start attending the gym more often!
Work Goals
I would LOVE to work with a big company, a big brand for my goal. Being able to make a little more money blogging would help get the SUV our family needs. I need to keep being consistent, invest more time, and take some blogging courses!
Another work goal I have, is to move up in my career with AZA. Once the I figure out a good home/work life balance, I can continue growing.

Ending on this, I would love for you to fill out my reader survey! Tell me your input how I can improve my blog.

Thanks so much & Happy New Year!

  3. Wow well done on leaving your gymnastics teaching job after FOUR YEARS! That must have been such a difficult step to take but I think that it is wonderful that you are now able to focus on blogging and your main job x

  4. I totally relate to your son’s allergy problems. I have been going through them myself, and I’m celebrating only having to go once a week starting this week. They’re such needy doctors. 🙂 Good luck on your goals for the year!

  5. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a blogging course. Now I’m super curious. Sounds like you’ve had quite a year with a new son. I wish the best for you and your aspirations for the new year.

  6. We had our first son this past year! It’s definitely hard adjusting to kids being the house and remembering our marriage in there. I probably need to add “focus more on our marriage” to my list for 2018. It’s so easy to lose patience with one another after becoming parents!

  7. Wow.. You have such a beautiful family. 2017 seems to have gone well. Here’s hoping you achieve all your dreams and goals in 2018. Cheers!!

  8. Aw, poor baby with his allergies my mother and I have been going through ours in the last couple of month. I hope this year is fruitful for you and your family.

  9. Gosh I am 19, and I am already scared of the life to come not even kidding! Being a wife and a mom just seems to be too much. How do you balance everything ?

  10. What a beautiful way to start 2017. Congrats on your little baby. I hope you continue to cherish those memories. They grow so fast.

  11. Congrats on expanding your family in 2017. Some of the issues you struggled with… I did as well. Now looking back 5-6 years later, I am so happy! You forget the small things, and can focus on the bigger happier ones.

  12. Working on your relationship with your husband is a great goal, one I want to work on for myself as well. I completely agree, the kids won’t always be there! It’s tough to think that now when they rely on you to stay alive lol. Best wishes to you and your career goals!
