I was provided this vehicle for a week by Drive Shop USA in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own, you can find my full disclosure here.
I remember very clearly last year during Christmas, we had to make two trips from my parents’ house to be able to bring home all the gifts due to the lack of room in my vehicle. This year, we were lucky enough to try out the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander for the holidays.
For the holidays this year, we were able to bring home the presents in one swift trip, AND pick up the infamous Uncle Derek. We had room for his luggage, two car seats, AND a stroller!
My Favorite Features
- Blind Spot Warning. This is a total game changer for me. I’ve always had anxiety about changing lanes, especially driving in Arizona. People always come up so quickly, and with the kids in the car I try to be extra cautious. This alerts me if it’s unsafe for me to switch lanes at the time. It also has Lane Change Assistant and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
- Multi-View Camera System
- Spacious Truck OR Third Row Seating. The Mitsubishi Outlander can fit up to 7 people! How awesome would that be when the boys are older and have friends riding along. It also is great because it fits the stroller, along with my brother’s luggage, or our Christmas Presents.
- Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Not only does it include these features, it has USB ports for us to plug our phones in, as well as bluetooth capabilities!
Other features include ECO drive mode, heated power side-view mirrors, power folding side-view mirrors, and heated front seats/steering wheel. Although, with this Arizona weather I would prefer cooling seats and steering wheels! Ha!
My husband’s favorite feature? The key fob remote controlled life gate!
If I had to find one feature to complain about, it would be the fact that the doors are slightly harder to shut than my current car. I actually have to slam, or close the doors harder. I also wish there was a simple button on the front driver’s door to push for child lock, instead having to manually lock them on the doors.
The standard features, and many added on included in this 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV; totaled the MSRP* to $32,260.00.
This SUV, might have single handedly changed my hubby’s idea on what vehicle to get me and the boys next!
Is this a vehicle that you would consider for yourself, or your family?
